How CCAN Works
From a single building to a municipal climate plan — a simple walk-through of the CCAN use case, so that decision-makers can see exactly what our work delivers.
The story, in five steps
- It starts with a single building or neighbourhood that needs a climate risk check.
- The SuPeRBE-tool (Climate Change Adaptation Tool, CCAT) assesses it, guided by Environmental and Climate Assessment Procedures (SECAP).
- That assessment feeds an Extended Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), which informs the Municipal / local Urban Plan.
- In parallel, it produces a Local Climate Change Adaptation Plan, which rolls up into a Municipal Climate Change Adaptation Plan.
- That Municipal Plan becomes the upgraded SECAP ("SECAP 2.0") for the next cycle — so every building assessed makes the whole municipality’s climate plan better.
